Fred grew up in small town Maine, moved for a while to Michigan where he earned a Ph.D. in chemistry, of all things, and landed in Northern California where he had a postdoctoral fellowship at UC Berkeley. Realizing that chemistry was not for him, he left the field and went into software, which was almost as exciting. In his mid-40’s, he decided his midlife crisis should take him into singing and acting. Over the next few years his interest and work in performing grew until he found himself four years ago in LA.

You might have also seen him in the recent episode of “Criminal Minds,” “Poison,” playing the intensive care unit doc. He also appeared in the “Justice” episode “Death Spiral.”  Other TV credits are “Passions” and “Crimetime.”  He also has two commercials running for Ameriprise and Sony TV.

Independent film credits include “The Champ,” “Secret Agent,” “I Stand Here Ironing,” “Raw Footage,” “Here After,” and “A Simple Choice.”

Fred appeared recently on stage in a new musical, “Dvorak in America” at Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks, CA.
